It all began in the city of Khabarovsk at 2a Zaparina Street in a wooden building with total floor space of no more than 100 km2, with only quarter of it suitable for the warehouse. The business idea and the entire activity were focused on the system of goods delivery to retail outlets of Khabarovsk. Yuri Yegorov, Marina and Vladislav Merkulov and Sergei Buligin not only were the directors but the only executives in the company.
The Nevada Company officially launched its own retail chain stores. In a year, they opened 70 Kupava kiosks and took a lease of 90 kiosks from the Gan Company. By that time, such big kiosk chains had been successfully operating in Moscow only. In year 2006, the company opened the Monetka minimarkets chain.
First Discounter supermarket was opened. At the beginning, it operated as a small-scale wholesale store. However, in 2005, the Discounter changed its format to a hypermarket and became the first one of the Samberi hypermarket chain. At the 5-th anniversary celebration, many employees were awarded a medal of honor. It’s important to say that after the honored Nevada employee retires with no termination of work record in it, they are to be added 50% to their pension at the expense of the Company.
